GoMedia Hotness Tuesday July 22, 2008

So I’ve been dying to link this sucker for a while, but haven’t had a chance until today.

Anyways, one of my favorite Graphic Design Studios (and predominate tools in my design toolbox) GoMedia – redesigned their stunning online magazine recently.

Now I could go on about the amazing collection of articles, gorgeous free vectors, abundance of pristine skulls, and fantastic layout; but if you explore the site for under five minutes you’ll get the gist of it. Luckily, after yesterday’s Tire Kickers vs. Real Clients Article I wanted to point out a fantastic and inspirational article called Moving Beyond Freelance. This is a must read for anyone interested in the struggles of starting a design firm or someone in the midst of creating a design firm.

The only problem I do have with the site is that the upcoming c.t.overdrive has numerous layout and design similarities. I’m sure there will be a few critics out there that will call the design a fraud, but it was completely unintentional. Plus isn’t borrowing ideas, the greatest form of flattery? … Well that’s if I get around to completing the new design.
