The Luddite Toolkit Tuesday May 5, 2009

So if you haven’t heard, I’m pretty proud of the fact that I’m an outcast when it comes my fellow designers. I’m somewhat of a self-proclaimed luddite. So it comes with exciting news that I finally took the plunge in to the cult of Apple.

Yes, kiddies, I now own my own iPod Touch (thanks to Travis and his patience).

So to celebrate this monumental technological graduation, I thought I would capture the c.t.overdrive approved luddite toolkit.

Yes, two moleskin notebooks (stuff white people like?), a Polaroid camera, an old bright f$%^ing pink shuffle and a craptastic Nokia phone. Everything a graphic designer would need without the technology. Who needs a digital SLR camera when you’ve got a Polaroid camera. Who needs a MacBook when you’ve got a Large Moleskin. Who needs a iCal when you’ve got a small moleskin….

Who am I kidding, welcome to the 21st century everyone.

Entrepreneurial Advice Wednesday April 15, 2009

It’s no secret that being an entrepeneur is an exhausting experience that can wear down the best of people. There are times when all the late nights, early mornings, missed events seem like it is all for nothing. So when I stumbled upon this entrepreneurial quote during my rounds of the great internet, I just had to post it.

Do today what others won’t, so you can live tomorrow how others can’t.

I’m not trying to claim this quote, by any means. (If someone knows the source this quote I would be forever greatful) But for a guy that’s really not into motivational quotes … I’ve found this tidbit an inspirational godsend.

I might be a bit slow on this one, but I just found out about the release of MegaMan 9. That’s right old School Mega Man for the New School console systems … at 1000 wii credits ($10) there really isn’t anything else that can be said.

The term WILL IT BLEND? is heard pretty much every single time someone turns one of our shoddy blenders little blenders on. You see our apartment sorta has this thing…

It’s sorta the place where blenders go to die.
