VenCorps is the New Cambrian House Wednesday August 6, 2008

A couple of months ago I wrote about the unfortunate trouble of local crowd-surfing giants Cambrian House.

Low and behold, a couple of days ago I received an alpha invite from their new incarnation – VenCorps. It appears the initial reassurances from Michael Sikorsky were spot on. Cambrian House is ALIVE … it just grew up a bit.

VenCorps seems to have completely revamped its image and vision from its predecessor. Gone is the crazy eclectic design, which was populated with Polaroid snapshots of the Queen and roaming Vikings Lego warriors. In its place is a slick professional design, soft buttons and beautiful gradients. It is sort of like running into that spiky-haired punk from high school all decked out in a three piece pin-stripe downtown – Cool and promising, but at the same time a bit odd.

Anyways, I plan on exploring VenCorps a bit more, who knows I might even provide some input to a couple of start-ups. If for some reason the gods give me a couple of alpha invites I will spread them around.
